Dell To Buy Petrot Systems

Computer maker Dell announced on Monday that they will acquire IT services provider Petrot systems for $3.9 billion in cash.
With the move, Dell has stuck with its personal computer and server sales even as its rivals -HP,IBM- continue to diversify hardware sales. 

Dell plans to buy an outstanding common stock of Perot Systems for $30 a share in cash.The deal is expected to close in Dell's November-January fiscal quarter.
This deal will expand the global reach of Perot (PER) Sytems and will also help in selling Dell systems to additional Perot customers.
Dell was hard hit by the global recession, in its recent quarter Dell's earning were down to 23 percent year over year to $472 million.
ODell and Perot Systems say that over the past four quarters they have taken in a combined $16 billion in enterprise hardware and IT services revenue, with about $8 billion from enhanced services and support.
