Volkswagen-1-litre car

Volkswagen re-writes the future by their one litre car-a perfect example for energy saving. Its of a great surprise to hear about a car which can travel 100 km/l.The technology used behind this would be counted for future manufacturing of other cars. This is a reflection of how the future will be.
The 1 litre car is 3.65m long and 1.25m wide which allows two people to sit and can travel with a max speed of 120km/hr(75mph).The body is made of carbon fibre which reduces the weight of the body as compared with other cars.Yet another surprise is that its engine weighs only 26kg  which inturn reduces weigth and fuel consumption. The car is having a six-speed gear box and has a start button.

Like the body the wheel is also made of carbon fibre composite and is 50% lighter than normal wheel. The developers of the car has avoided exterior mirrors for better aerodynamics and two LCD monitors has been fitted inside the car one on either side of the stear-ring to have the rear-view.The roof is made of polycarbonate glass with sun protection. This car is really a stepping stone to hte future.
